Brassy & Sassy - One Room Challenge Week 5

How is it week 5 of the One Room Challenge already?? For us week five means lighting! We’ve partnered with our friends at Living Lighting Canada to light up this space! We swapped out a boob light and my husband wired for two sconces and a new switch and I’m OBSESSED!!

This little alcove I am converting into my home office is in the basement, has no windows and had just a lonely boob light on the ceiling. Luckily one of the walls faced an unfinished part of the basement so my husband was able to make my lighting dreams come true! He installed two boxes and a switch for these gorgeous sconces. Meet the “Alden” by Kichler in Natural Brass…one word STUNNING!

And to replace the horrible boob light, meet the Amrstrong Flush Mount, also in Natural Brass….insert all the heart eyes!

We are big fans of the Kichler Armstrong line up of lighting, we have the Armstrong 8 Bulb Chandelier in Matte Black in our entryway and the Amstrong 2 Bulb Sconces in our new basement bathroom - all from Living Lighting!

Choosing our lighting was all done through the Living Lighting Canada website and curbside pick-up was a piece of cake! As usual the staff at the Richmond Hill location go above and beyond….they are like old friends!

Lighting truly defines a space, it creates atmosphere and adds dimension. In my new home office I wanted to ensure I had good lighting by way of the flush mount ceiling fixture, as well as the option for softer lighting which we’ve accomplished with the sconces.

Thanks to Living Lighting Canada, this space is truly LIT! Now it’s time to start putting it together with furniture and accessories.. Three more weeks until reveal day! Be sure to head to the One Room Challenge website for another dose of weekly inspo!

Meet you here next week!
