And just like that, the laundry room has become my most favourite room in our home! Who said laundry rooms can’t be beautiful? Thanks to our friends at Blanco, our laundry room now has the modern edge it was missing after the the installation of a Blanco Unit.

A Blanco Unit is a fully integrated sink, faucet and accessory system with more than 300 combinations. There truly is something for everyone’s style. Here at Our Uncluttered House, we chose the Liven Laundry Sink in White, the Empressa Semi Pro Faucet, a Laundry Rack and a Capflow Cover for our laundry room renovation.

Last week we ended week 6 with our countertop and cabinets in place, the lighting was done, the biggest jobs was looming - cutting the hole in the countertop, installing the sink, faucet and re-touting the plumbing.

The Blanco Liven sink came with illustrated, easy to read instructions, making this part of our DIY project a piece of cake, because we took our time. We used the Blanco sink template, measured and remeasured , because we definitely could only cut once! We used our jig saw to cut the hole and other than making a mess, it went smoothly. The sink fit in place and the drain and clamps were easy to install. We did find and watch a You Tube video to be sure we were installing the clamps properly since they were a new to us design.

Next up was the faucet installation. The Empressa Semi-pro Faucet was super easy to install with the illustrated instructions, easy enough for a beginner DIYer. The Blanco Empressa has beautiful features such as a powerful pressure sprayer, flexible matte black rubber hose and a super convenient docking arm. This faucet definitely makes a statement!

The most tedious part of this install was the plumbing. We always struggle with plumbing but my husband never gives up! It took some “figuring out”, a couple of trips to Home Depot and a couple of leaks before it was done. The third time was definitely the charm!

What can I say, the Liven Sink is EXCEPTIONAL! Made from Siligranit, a Blanco exclusive material, it’s durable and easy to clean. At 12 inches deep, it functions like a “laundry sink” but has taken our laundry room to the next level! The Capflow Cover looks sleek and the Laundry Rack is both practical and aesthically pleasing. It is truly a package deal. And one of the best parts, it’s going to be perfect for puppy baths!

Week 7 is one for the books! Thanks to Blanco Canada, our laundry room renovation is almost complete and I dare say, one of the most beautiful laundry rooms in our home and definitely the most functional.
