Fall 2021 One Room Challenge - Laundry Room Renovation

We blinked and the Spring One Room Challenged ended and the Fall one has begun, and for us, it’s a DOOZY!

We are tackling our builder grade laundry room in a BIG way!

Let me catch you all up….

We bought our home in December 2019, brand new, from a local builder, as an inventory home.  COVID hit and we have basically spent the last, almost two years, doing renos, decorating, making it our own.

Next on the hit list is our laundry room/mud room.

This room is so badly laid out, it has a big closet that you can only access if you close one door to open another, I have to lock the door going out to the garage when I open the dryer for fear of being taken out by someone, it’s narrow, it’s poorly lit and while we freshened it up last spring with some peel and stick wallpaper and painted the doors, it’s still not as functional as we need it to be.

Here’s the plan…

All in 8 weeks…and while we had good intentions to start ahead of schedule, we are currently in the Maritimes visiting my family!!

Some materials are in transit, some have been picked up or delivered and others are “to be determined”!

It’s all good, we love to fly by the seat of our pants and luckily, work well under pressure!

Week 1….a few strips of wallpaper have been removed the the closet <mostly> has been cleaned out!

Do you have faith in us? Regardless, I hope you’ll stick around. I also hope you’ll head to the One Room Challenge website and check out the featured designers and all of the other Guest Participants like us. Trust me, you’ll find an abundance of talent and inspiration!

Cheers!
